Thanks, Fett! Yeah, I was crazy about old school monsters when I was a kid, and still have a soft spot for them. It started with the Remco 3.75" monsters. Oh, how I loved them...
Reis my wife bought me those Universal Monster too for a early Christmas and they look fantastic but i have not removed them from there packages yet and not for sure i will with these due to the fact they are super nice and the packaging it self was made with a collector in mind i feel with the outer plastic casing and all one of the few toys i will not open really. Congrats on getting yours and am with you in looking forward to the next two in the line.
Hey, Reis... Great video blog this week! I also picked up the EMCE Universal monsters. It's too bad they are only releasing 2 per year! I was blown away by these guys and agree with every point you made. Every detail screams "quality." After messing around with the Mattel Retro Action figures on the shelf, it was great to actually have some NeoMegos (I like that) that could hold a pose so well. My wife picked up four of the 8" Twilight Zone figures for me for Christmas. They are really nice, too... but not quite as nice as the monsters. I had the AHI monsters as a little kid and have missed them. These new guys definitely fill that "need" for Megoized monsters.
BTW... in case you didn't realize... EMCE = MC = Mego Corp. Cool, huh?
Reis- Excellent video as always. Thanks for sharing. I wanted to let you know I reposted this on my site as an example of how to make an awesome video for collectors. http://coolandcollected.com/how-to-shoot-an-awesome-video-of-your-collection/
You can see the pelt in the vid.
ReplyDeleteNeat score. I saw those, and I was never into the classic monster movies that much, never occurred to me that you would dig them so much.
Happy b-day, by the way!

Supe Dupe - He's on the list! I showed off some pics of him a few weeks back, but a full review is in order.
ReplyDeleteJboy - FREE THEM FROM THEIR PLASTIC PRISONS! ;)
Brian A - So THAT'S where the name comes from. That makes sense. Thanks for cluing me in!
And you heard it here first, folks! I have officially coined the term, "NeoMegos"!
Happy belated birthday, Reis, and thanks for the great video.
