  2. I left a comment over on your YouTube channel....but i'll leave it here too.

lol@the candy heads. Now I don't feel so bad about my headless Chewbacca Shampoo bottle that I held on to.
I still have my Star Wars and Ghostbusters pencil toppers....havent dug them out i ages. I think somewhere I have some of those Micro Star Wars figs...I'll have to look.
I hope you don't stop doing the vlogs....I enjoy them. I don't always comment or make it over to your blog...but I watch every vlog.
Will def check out and enter the Nativity contest...lol

    Also:
Maybe a little interaction with your YouTube base would help..I dunno if you comment back or not...but..make them feel like they are apart of it...even if they dont make it to the blog.
    Just and Idea.

  4. I'm glad you all dig the vids, but I'm not saying that they are definitely going the way of the dodo, just that I may stop doing them on a weekly basis if only a few people are watching them.

And no, I know don't comment much on YouTube, but that's because I just upload and host them there and prefer to use my blog as a hub for communication.

Still, thanks for the input, gang!

  5. Maybe put a link in your video description where that blog is for that particular vlog. I only say that so that maybe it will draw more traffic to your blog.....some people are lazy and don't go out of their way to go outside of YouTube if they are already there.....
I am very guilty of that.

  7. Dude, you are the video blog master! Keep it up. I have the same Chewbacca and Darth Vader candy heads. I'd love to score one with candy still in it, but 30 year old candy probably isn't too tasty. Hate to break the news to you, but I was the other one who loved the Star Wars Micro Collection. I had such high hopes for the series. I was dissappointed when it was cancelled. In case you didn't know, I post my micro collection figures weekly.

  9. Reis, count me as another vote in the please don't stop doing these videos category. Two things regarding your hits. One, YouTube's hit counter has been bad for months. My blog says I have 200 views on a video, yet YouTube says there are only 30. Its awful. I have friends who are YouTube partners and refuse to do any new videos until this is fixed. Second, why not add some descriptions or tags on the videos? Those of us who already love your blog are here, but what about attracting new viewers/readers? If I'm on YouTube I wont find your videos by searching for Star Wars or Batman, etc because there is no tag for such. It would be very quick to just enter the tags "toys" and whatever character it is. Then fans of that character could stumble upon your stuff.
Keep it up Reis, this is one of my favorite sites in all the internet.

  10. Thanks, Hellions! That's very helpful news.

For the record, I didn't mention this because I was fishing for compliments or whatever from everybody. I know it kind of looks that way. But it's not.

I do add tags, but never descriptions. I'll start being better about that.

Also, I just want everyone to know that I'm not saying I do this for the hits. It's just that I noticed that the views had dropped and took that as a sign that maybe people were losing interest, and I don't want to keep doing something that people aren't digging for some reason. If my views had always been at 30-ish and stayed that way, then I wouldn't have even noticed or cared. So, it's not the amount of views, but the loss of views that made me take notice.

Also, I'm not trying to make a splash on YouTube or be a part of the YouTube community or whatever. I'm just using them as an upload/hosting site. I'd rather people come here to my blog and check out my pics, read my articles, watch my videos and leave their comments if they like. I know that sounds kind of jerk-ish, but I swear I don't mean it that way. It's just that between all of my blogs and Facebook groups and Twitter and other toy forums, I just don't need another "community".

But, you all seem to like what I'm doing so I'll keep it up. Whatever it takes to keep people talking about toys!

Thanks for the sincere input everyone! Sincerely!
