I bought that three-pack at the last Portland show for my kids (because I'd been showing them Spidey & His Amazing Friends and my daughter immediately fell in love with Firestar, and even wanted to be her for Halloween -- unfortunately my wife vetoed that idea... my daughter is 3, by the way, and she already knows the Thing says "It's Clobberin' Time!" -- my son's a big superheroes fan too. Am I raising these kids right or what?). Anyway, while they loved getting those figures, they've already pulled legs off Iceman and Firestar a few times each, although they have snapped right back in (like the Wizard Firestar, which was a Medusa repaint that had seriously weak elbows that broke in less than 24 hours after I gave it to my daughter).
I was so excited when this set was announced. I immediatley ordered from Toys R Us when it became availalbe. This show competes with Thundarr as my favorite Saturday Morning viewing.
Spider-Man 92291? Is this some thing Stan Lee is working on? lol. Great figures and i almost pick them up at TRU when they got marked down but i passed on them for whatever reason.
You know, I've looked at that TRU pack so many times but I can't justify the asking price just for Firestar...
ReplyDeleteWell, I found it marked down to $12, and I didn't have Iceman, either, so I pulled the trigger. Besides, I used to love that cartoon!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good deal - I did see one TRU with that (and the excellent Troops/Henchmen one) for $15 but my local TRU still want $22...
