I warned you guys that it was gonna get pretty Funko-y around here, and I wasn't joking.
I just wanted to dash out a quick post and show off my beloved Funko Pop! Hobbit figures. I was a major fan of the original Lord of the Rings trilogy, so you can bet your sweet bippy that I'll be there with bells on when The Hobbit hits theaters, happily shoveling popcorn into my face and ready to dive back into Peter Jackson's lush, vibrant Middle Earth once again.
In the meantime, I can content myself with these adorable little button-eyed denizens of the Shire.
First up is a younger Bilbo Baggins, the original keeper of the the One Ring and wielder of Sting. Just look at his hairy little feet!
Here we have the legendary Gandalf the Gray, long before his fall against the Balroq and his imprisonment in the Tower of Saruman...
And, of course, you can't tell the tale of the destruction of the One Ring without its original keeper, the twisted and deformed Golum, with his pointy little teeth, perfect for ripping apart raw fish...
So, these are the latest Pop! figures to be added to my collection and there are many more. But I'll do my best to space oput my posts about them, lest you guys get sick of me babbling on about them. What can I say? I'm a company man, now.
But even if I wasn't, I'd still think these Pop! figures were prrrrrrrrreeeeeciiiiooouuuussss....
Beautiful! My daughter just got me the Michael Myers Pop! figure for Halloween, I love it!
ReplyDeleteAh! I love that one! I have all the movie monster Pops and will be posting them soon. :)
DeleteI think my buddy Brad would love that Gandalf! I might have to get him one now.
ReplyDeleteDo it! Get him hooked! ;)
DeleteI think he would get hooked too Reis he loves his Fantasy stuff. : )
DeleteI love Funko but I don't want to start buying them otherwise I will have to get them all!!!
ReplyDeleteKim, I agree with you! I love the Michael Myers so much, I want Jason, too. And maybe Aquaman. And Stitch. And... When will it end???
ReplyDeleteYeah, you guys are smart if you don't want to get addicted, then don't start. The wicked thing about them is how well they all display when put together. Like, even a Freddy Krueger looks perfect beside a Mickey Mouse.
DeleteYeah thats what I am afraid of!
DeleteBut I do want the PLANTS VS. ZOMBIES one but can't find them anywhere...
That's the genius of these figures. They are so unlike any other representations of everyone's favorite characters that even if you want one or 20 you will be happy with the results. I have many of the superhero ones but my Mars Attacks guy is my favorite. He can proudly take his place with the rest of my favorite toys from that movie. Also for ten bucks you can't go wrong.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I loooove the Mars Attacks one. He's so adorable with his little bubble helmet!
DeleteDon't tell me you also are a freak for anything with a bubble helmet? I can't wait until my Luchador masks arrives now that I feel welcome to join the horde.
DeleteAs a 'company man' do they just toss you freebies. It would be cool to see the operation and what goes into the design and manufacture of one of these.
ReplyDeleteWeeeelllll... Sort of. I can buy whatever I want at a discount, but we often get loose samples in for paint approvals or to photograph for ads or what have you and if there are extras, we can usually grab them.
DeleteThese are ridiculously cute.
ReplyDeleteRight?!
